DONNER SUMMIT MULTI-PITCH ROCK CLIMBING COURSE OVERVIEW

Get your feet way off the gourd and learn to multi pitch climb at California’s best multi pitch crag. Donner Summit near Truckee in North Lake Tahoe has a great selection of beginner multi pitch rock climbing routes. Our AMGA certified and trained rock climbing guides can teach you world-standard multi pitch climbing techniques to take your rock climbing farther. We run this course as a custom course so can fully customize your day based on your abilities and goals. Multi pitch skills taught are:

  • Multipitch systems

  • Multi pitch anchors

  • Belay management

  • Guided multi pitch climbs

  • Multi pitch rappelling

We will also take you on a instructor led multi pitch climb at Donner Summit. We have a large number of excellent rock climbs in the Lovers Leap area including some of the best moderate multi pitch climbs in California. We meet at 9am up at Donner Summit.

SKILL & EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • You should be able to quickly follow crack climbs up to 5.8 in difficulty.

  • You should be familiar with placing gear and building anchors

  • Previous rock leading experience is helpful but not necessary.
