Assistant Rock & Alpine Guide
Matt Meyer has been guiding for IAG/CAG since the winter of 2015. He has a varied outdoor background in all-things mountaineering, including multi-pitch rock climbing, ice climbing and ski touring. Having cut his teeth in the high desert of Southern California at classic climbing areas such as Joshua Tree and Tahquitz, he currently resides in the Eastern Sierras, frequenting Yosemite and exploring terrain from Lone Pine to Sonora and beyond.
With a diverse resume of ascents ranging from Mt. Rainier (Washington), to the East Buttress of Middle Cathedral (Yosemite Valley), to ice climbing in Utah and Colorado, Matt's experience and love for the outdoors directly translates to his passion for teaching others how to safely, efficiently and professionally enjoy being in the wilderness.
