Why ski the Alps with International Alpine Guides?

  • A leader in Alps skiing…IAG is one of the most experienced American ski guiding companies operating in the Alps running Alps ski trips for over 11 years. Our finely crafted itineraries have been personally fine tuned by our director & IFMGA guide Dave Miller

  • A better value…We provide you with an exceptional & more personalized climbing experience at a great cost.

  • World class guides…We use IFMGA/UIAGM certified mountain guides, the highest mountain guiding certification in the world & the legal requirement to ski guide in the Alps of Europe. All are highly trained avalanche professionals.

  • The real deal…We are not a clothing company or retail outlet, we are a mountain & ski guiding company. We use our own guides and do not contract out our trips to other companies.

  • Personalized Service…We keep our overall group sizes small giving you individualized attention with no more than 8 skiers on each trip and low guide to guest ratios for your safety and enjoyment

We specialize in European Alps ski tours and ski mountaineering trips. From the amazing backcountry freeride ski terrain of Chamonix, Engleberg/Andermatt & Alagna to the famous Haute Route ski tour to the Ortler ski circuit of the Italian Alps, we ski guide the best skiing Europe has to offer. IAG director and IFMGA ski guide Dave Miller personally leads many of our European ski trips. Dave, who learned to ski in the Alps over 40 years ago, has over 12 years of experience leading ski trips in the Alps and has logged hundreds of ski days in Europe. He knows the local cultures and can show you a fantastic time in this amazing ski region.

Skiing is in our blood! Let the professionals of International Alpine Guides show you the goods.

Alps Freeride Skiing & Ski Mountaineering

Freeride skiing, as it’s known in Europe, embodies the great backcountry ski descents that can be found off the extensive high lift networks found in the Alps. It’s been said that in the Alps there are not ski resorts with boundaries, just lifts. The high alpine cable cars, gondolas and chairlifts provide the access to some of the best backcountry, or freeride, skiing terrain in the world. While there may be some skinning and hiking involved, the freeride game is all about big backcountry descents. Couloirs, glacier runs and fantastic powder stashes are on the menu, many in the same 6,000 foot run.
