Sugar Bowl Private Backcountry Skiing Split Boarding Tour Overview

Ski and ride out of bounds at California’s best lift served backcountry terrain on a private guided tour or course with our local AMGA certified and trained backcountry ski guides. For over 35 years we have been ski guiding the amazing terrain just beyond the lifts at Sugar Bowl Resort off Donner Pass. Not only is this the best lift served backcountry in Tahoe, it is the best in the Sierra Nevada and we are waiting to show you the goods!

Accessing the backcountry via the lifts saves a whole lot of time and gets you into the untracked backcountry quicker and with less effort. We still ski tour uphill utilizing backcountry skis with skins, but with the use of the lifts it’s kept to a minimum. The day begins early with a ride up the lifts, the morning spent experiencing the fantastic backcountry skiing terrain out of bounds. On our private ski tours the objectives are solely based on your goals and abilities, we can tailor the day specifically for you and your group. Our guides know all the nooks and stashes beyond the lifts at Sugar Bowl and we are psyched to share it with you.

SKILL & EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Required skiing & boarding ability is advanced level at a ski resort. Must be comfortable in un-groomed (powder and crud) conditions. No previous backcountry skiing or riding experience required on our private ski tours. Very good physical shape required with the ability to hike uphill for many hours

Lift ticket not included in the above prices.

Backcountry Access Lift Ticket Add: $65 per person
