2-Day Hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification

A new WFR recert format offered by NOLS Wilderness Medicine (formerly WMI) that shortens the in-class time to 2-days and adds an online component. For time challenged folks needing to recert their WFR this new course offers a great way to get recertified with less class room time, but with all the traditional skills and scenarios.

The pre work allows you to review the curriculum on your own pace ahead of time. You'll be required to complete all the on line components, and a written exam prior to the course. Once you show up, you just have to focus on the hands-on element during the 2-day course.

We've chosen the Eastern Sierra town of Mammoth Lakes as the location for our WFR recertification courses. The Mammoth area is a mecca for climbing, skiing and hiking...with great hot springs as well! There's plenty of free camping options as well as developed campgrounds and tons of lodging and restaurant options.

You must posses a current WFR and/or be eligible for the WFR recert.
