/Its a long weekend and the weather looks great in the Eastern Sierra! Look forward to moderate temps in the Bishop area, pow turns in the Mammoth area and as always sunny skies.

Backcountry Skiing & Boarding
Eastern Sierra
This past storm came in quite warm with rain up to 8,600. The goods can be found above 9,000 feet. We found some great powder in Red Cone Bowl at 9,500. Its still early season out, watch for rocks and down trees. The Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center has started to report 7 days a week! As always know before you go and read the Avi Report.

Tahoe
The backcountry skiing is limited in the Tahoe region with the best snow found in the Mt. Rose and Carson Pass areas.

Mount Shasta
The weather looks great for skiing Saturday and Sunday. Another storm is rolling through on Monday that is going to produce high winds and possible snow.

Ice Climbing
Lee Vining & June Lake Ice Climbing
June Lake Ice fell apart in this last storm cycle. Cross your fingers for some cold nights to rebuild the ice.
Lee Vining Ice is going to be your best bet this weekend. We have a few guides hiking up the canyon to see how the ice is doing. Stay tuned for pictures.

Sending temps all weekend, highs in the mid 60's and lows in the mid 40's.
Eastern Sierra
Temps in the ORG look good for sending. Deadman summit received snow in this last storm. For for the adventurous people with a 4 wheel drive vehicle, Clarks Canyon is still accessible.

Yosemite Valley & Tuolumne Meadows
Looks like a great weekend to climb in the Valley with temps in the mid 60's and mostly sunny.
Tuolumne is closed for the season.
