AMGA Single Pitch Instructor Assessment Exam Overview

This is the SPI assessment exam that is to be take at some point after the SPI instructor course. It is 2 days and upon successful completion you will be a certified AMGA Single Pitch Instructor.

The AMGA is the only guide certification body in the United States that is internationally recognized by the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA). So the AMGA SPI course is the only top rope management course & certification that is internationally recognized.

The SPI course is a 3-day, 27 hour course. This is the is a 2-day assessment exam that must be taken at another time to receive your SPI certification. There is a 6:1 maximum student to The certification lasts for 3 years after which it must be re-certified with another assessment. This course is based out of Mammoth Lakes, but locations around the Eastern Sierra from Bishop up to Mammoth Lakes will be used.
