Guided Backcountry Ski and Split Board Tours - Lake Tahoe / Truckee Overview

Join us on for as day of scheduled backcountry skiing and split boarding on one of the best ski tours that the North Lake Tahoe & Truckee areas have to offer. For those with some previous backcountry skiing experience, our ski tours are a great way to enjoy the backcountry with a professional ski guide and also tune up your backcountry skiing skills. Joining one of our tours is a great follow up to our intro to backcountry skiing course. Our easy-going local AMGA trained ski guides are always excited to give instruction on avalanche awareness, backcountry skiing & snowboarding skills and to just share local information.

We choose the exact days ski touring options in the days before each tour based on local snow and weather conditions. For over 40 years we’ve been backcountry ski guiding the Tahoe area and have the experience to get you on the best snow possible. The North Lake Tahoe/Truckee area has some of the most accessible backcountry ski terrain in California.

SKILL & EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Required skiing & boarding ability is advanced level at a ski resort. Must be comfortable in un-groomed (powder and crud) conditions. Some previous backcountry experience required. Very good physical shape required with the ability to hike uphill for many hours
