MAMMOTH LAKES INTRO TO OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING OVERVIEW
Come join the fun and get an introduction to rock climbing in the Mammoth Lakes area. Mammoth has some of the best rock climbing in California and is a great place to learn how to rock climb. Our AMGA trained or certified guides have years of experience teaching beginners the sport of rock climbing.
Join us every Saturday from late May till mid September. Whether you have no rock climbing experience or are a seasoned indoor gym climber, this one-day rock climbing course is great for learning all the basics of outdoor rock climbing such as:
Climbing movement on face & crack climbs
Belaying techniques and safety protocols
Knots for rock climbing
Rapelling
Basic rock climbing technical systems
Leave No Trace principles at the crag
Don’t have any of the necessary gear? No problem. We will provide you with everything you will need, including rock climbing shoes. All you need are your clothes, food and water for the day. The Eastern Sierra is a rock climbers paradise. We have a large selection of great beginner climbs in the Mammoth Lakes area.

SKILL & EXPERIENCE LEVEL
No previous rock climbing experience is required. You should be be fair to good physical shape.
Min age is 14 years old.
