Anouk Erni has been climbing and mountaineering for over 10 years. After climbing for several years in the Sierras in California, she then headed to the Pacific Northwest, where she began guiding on the glaciers of Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier during the summer. In the winter months, Anouk headed south to guide in Joshua Tree National Park. Now she calls the Sierras home once again, and enjoys spending as much time in the alpine as possible, whether it means climbing or skiing. Part Swiss, Anouk has climbed and skied throughout the Swiss Alps as well.
Anouk’s focus is to share her passion and love for the mountains with others, and to teach budding climbers and mountaineers the tools to stay safe in their future endeavors. As a guide, she finds the biggest reward is teaching others the skills to explore the mountains on their own, and she hopes this will provide a domino effect of education, principles, and ethics in the outdoor community.
