Daniel Ross

Lead Rock Guide
Lead Alpine Guide
Lead Ski Guide

Daniel Ross has been sharing days in the mountains with climbers and skiers since 2020, and there's nowhere he'd rather be than helping others discover what makes these places so special. Whether it's your first time putting on crampons or you're chasing a big objective, he enjoys creating an experience that's equal parts rewarding, educational, and fun. Teaching is at the heart of his approach, and he loves breaking down new skills, answering questions, and helping clients build confidence and competence along the way.

Daniel is an Assistant Rock Guide, Apprentice Alpine Guide, and Apprentice Ski Guide through the AMGA, and has guided on Mount Shasta since 2023 after beginning his career as a Single Pitch Instructor and spending two seasons ski patrolling. He holds bachelor's degrees in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies from Prescott College, bringing both a passion for teaching and a healthy curiosity about the landscapes we travel through. If you find yourself asking "why?" about flowers, snow, rocks, weather, or just about anything else in the mountains, he'll probably be just as excited to talk about it as you are to ask.

Daniel is now based in Bishop, CA, and calls the Eastern Sierra home. Above all, Daniel hopes every trip leaves clients with new skills, great memories, and a reason to come back for the next adventure.
