Jason Boyer
Lead Rock Guide
Lead Alpine Guide
Jason brings to the table a lifetime of experience exploring the mountains, deserts and rivers of North America and beyond. After 35 years of working as a guide, his passion for adventure continues to be unwavering. Communicating through a raw honesty and, at times, pure exuberance. Jason’s poignant humor and provocative insight can simply be contagious. Work and play have led Jason to the Appalachian, Sierra Nevada, Southern Cascades, Wasatch, Uinta, Sawatch, San Juan, Southern Alps NZ, The Alps, Central America, Hong Kong and China.
When not guiding for International Alpine Guides on Mt Shasta and in the Eastern Sierra, Jason is based in Utah where he guides and teaches avalanche classes for The Backcountry Pros and is a lead guide and avalanche forecaster for Park City Powder Cats. Jason lives alongside his wife (guide, wolf mother, and soon to be famous wildlife photographer) Megan, with whom he has shared a lifetime of love and adventures. Two huskies round out the pack to pull them around to visit family, friends, rivers, mountains, music, and oceans.
