Marielle Schnack
Lead Backpacking Guide
Born and raised in Weed, California, Marielle grew up exploring Mt. Shasta and the Trinity Alps as her backyard. She has thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, the Colorado Trail, and many other long-distance routes, and feels most at home carrying everything she needs and spending long stretches in remote places.
Marielle also guides trips in the Trinity Alps and helps restore historic trails alongside trail crews. During the winter, she works at ski resorts throughout the West as a ski and snowboard instructor. When she's not out in the mountains, she works on her family's ranch. With a degree in Early Childhood Development, she enjoys helping people slow down, build confidence in the outdoors, and develop a deeper connection to the natural world.
