Originally from Bend, Oregon, Nick grew up immersed in the Cascade volcanoes that continue to shape his life today. Early days skiing at Mt. Bachelor evolved into a passion for climbing, backcountry travel, and pushing his limits throughout the mountains of the American West.

While attending Cal Poly SLO, Nick spent much of his time developing technical mountain skills through multi-pitch climbing, backcountry skiing, and mountaineering. He has spent years climbing and skiing throughout the Cascades, Sierra, and Mount Shasta region.

After graduation, Nick worked as an engineer in San Francisco before ultimately deciding to pursue mountain guiding full time. He found the mountains offered the sense of purpose, challenge, and community he was looking for. Nick especially enjoys teaching climbing skills, helping clients build confidence in their own abilities, and creating meaningful experiences outdoors.
