El CHORRO & COSTA BLANCA, SPAIN ROCK CLIMBING OVERVIEW

Looking for a some sunny rock climbing to quell the winter doldrum s? The South of Spain offers some of the best winter limestone rock climbing in the world.  The rock climbing in Spain is classic multipitch limestone climbing above the blue Mediterranean sea. There are rock climbs for all levels from beginner climbers with a little previous experience to those wishing to push their limits. 

We offer two locations in Spain depending on your desires and goals. First, there is the Spanish climbing mecca of El Chorro in the hillsides North of Malaga. El Chorro offers spectacular climbing with everything from long multi-pitch rock climbs to challenging sport climbs. The climbing is somewhat similar to the Dolomites of Italy. We base out of a charming Spanish country villa just minutes from the climbing. 

Then there is the Costa Blanca area surrounding the seaside resort town of Calpe. A completely different environment than El Chorro, the Costa Blanca offers multi-pitch adventures as well as single pitch climbs for all ability levels. Many with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. The climbing is very extensive throughout the Costa Blanca region. In addition to the climbing, there are some excellent restaurants in the surrounding towns. We base ourselves out of a luxury Spanish villa overlooking the Mediterranean. 

We offer either location separately with a minimum of 6 days of climbing or can offer both locations for a minimum 11 day trip including travel time between the two.

We can also combine the guided rock climbing with a full rock climbing instructional course for those wishing to further their rock climbing skills in a spectacular international climbing destination. Our rock climbing guides our IFMGA/UIAGM internationally certified rock guides.

We can customize the itinerary and climbing to suit your goals and abilities. 

SKILL & EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Participants on the Spain rock climbing trips should have had some previous rock climbing experience. This trip is suitable for intermediate climbers with the ability to follow 5.7 (YDS) rock climbs.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION & LODGING

Lodging is provided in Spanish villa vacation homes with breakfast included. Private ground transportation is also be provided including pickup and drop off at the Malaga and/or Valencia airports.
