Sugar Bowl to Olympic Valley Ski Tour Overview

The Tahoe “High Route”, this is North Tahoe’s famous overnight ski tour and a great first overnight high and light backcountry ski tour. It's truly a classic overnight ski tour that gives you the chance to refine a myriad of state-of-the-art ski touring skills en route. This is also a great tour for anyone aspiring to join us on our spectacular spring ski adventures in the Alps of Europe or our longer and more committing ski tours in the High Sierra Nevada.

We begin the adventure with a one-way ride up the lifts at Sugar Bowl and after leaving the boundary we tour along the Anderson Ridge. After spending the night out, we pass by Tinkers Knob and eventually into Olympic Valley. Along the way, it gives you the chance to learn high and light ski touring techniques and experience the more remote areas of the North Lake Tahoe area. After 40 years of skiing and guiding the Sugar Bowl to Olympic Valley ski tour we have found all the best ski descents and the best uphill lines that make for an elegant line.

As California’s oldest and most established ski guiding service, you know you’re in good hands with us. Join us this winter in Tahoe!

We include your avalanche safety gear, such as avalanche beach, shovel & probe at no extra charge!
