WILDERNESS FIRST AID OVERVIEW

Join us for a 2 day hands on introduction to the world of wilderness medicine and patient care in an extended care setting. This is a hands on scenario based course that provides you with realistic learning opportunities to learn and practice patient assessment and other basic first aid skills. This course is ideal for camp counselors, outdoor trip leaders, SAR personnel, and every day outdoor enthusiasts looking to have another safety skill set.

We’ll review trauma, medical, environmental injuries, wound care, and decision making topics as well as provide curriculum updates for these topics. This course does not include CPR.

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

No previous medical training required.

Course may be used for recertification of a current WFR if you certified through WMI of NOLS.
